Gemstone Information - Labradorite
Labradorite, also called Labradore. Labradorite got the
name after peninsula of Labrador in Canada, where it was found. It shows
a play of color (labradorescence) in lustrous metallic tints, often
blue and green. They are found in Canada ( Labrador , Newfoundland ),
also in Australia ( New South Wales ), Madagascar, Mexico, Russia, and
the United States .
Common used for bead necklaces, brooches, charms, pendants,
rings, jewelry and ornamental objects.
